ORDINANCE NO. 2005- 33 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, AMENDING THE FUTURE LAND USE MAP OF THE MASTER PLAN OF THE CITY, FROM HIGH DENSITY RESIDENTIAL TO COMMERCIAL FOR AN 8.84 ACRE, MORE OR LESS, TRACT OF PROPERTY LOCATED IN THE 1300-1400 BLOCKS OF WONDER WORLD DRIVE; AND INCLUDING PROCEDURAL PROVISIONS. RECITALS: 1. On February 22, 2005, the Planning and Zoning Commission of the City of San Marcos held a public hearing regarding a request to amend the Future Land Use Map of the Master Plan from High Density Residential to Commercial for an 8.84 acre, more or less, tract of property located in the 1300-1400 Blocks of Wonder World Drive. 2. Subsequent to the public hearing on that date, the Planning and Zoning Commission did, on February 22,2005, consider the request and voted to approve it and has recommended that the request be approved by the City Council of the City. 3. The City Council held a public hearing on regarding the request. April 19 , 2005, 4. All requirements of the City Master Plan and the City Land Development Code pertaining to Future Land Use Map amendments have been met. 5. The City Council hereby finds and determines that the adoption of this ordinance is in the interest of the public health, morals, welfare and safety. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS: SECTION 1. The following described tract of real property, which is in an area shown on the Future Land Use Map of the Master Plan of the City of San Marcos as High Density Residential, shall be shown on that map as Commercial: Street address: 1300-1400 Blocks of Wonder World Drive. Size: 8.84 acres. Legal description: See the attached Exhibit A.
