On February 22, 2005, the Planning and Zoning Commission of the City of <br />San Marcos held a public hearing regarding a request to amend the Future Land Use Map <br />of the Master Plan from High Density Residential to Commercial for an 8.84 acre, more <br />or less, tract of property located in the 1300-1400 Blocks of Wonder World Drive. <br /> <br />2. Subsequent to the public hearing on that date, the Planning and Zoning <br />Commission did, on February 22,2005, consider the request and voted to approve it and <br />has recommended that the request be approved by the City Council of the City. <br /> <br />3. The City Council held a public hearing on <br />regarding the request. <br /> <br />April 19 <br /> <br />, 2005, <br /> <br />4. All requirements of the City Master Plan and the City Land Development Code <br />pertaining to Future Land Use Map amendments have been met. <br /> <br />5. The City Council hereby finds and determines that the adoption of this <br />ordinance is in the interest of the public health, morals, welfare and safety. <br /> <br />BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN <br />MARCOS, TEXAS: <br /> <br />SECTION 1. The following described tract of real property, which is in an area <br />shown on the Future Land Use Map of the Master Plan of the City of San Marcos as <br />High Density Residential, shall be shown on that map as Commercial: <br /> <br />Street address: 1300-1400 Blocks of Wonder World Drive. <br /> <br />Size: 8.84 acres. <br /> <br />Legal description: See the attached Exhibit A. <br />
