On February 22, 2005, the Planning and Zoning Commission of the City of San <br />Marcos held a public hearing regarding a request to change the Future Land Use Map of the San <br />Marcos Horizons City Master Plan from "P" Public and Institutional to "C" Commercial, and a <br />concurrent request to change the zoning from "I" Industrial District to "GC" General Commercial <br />District, for a 1.677 acre tract, more or less, ofland located at 600 Wonder World Drive. <br /> <br />2. Subsequent to the public hearing on that date, the Planning and Zoning Commission <br />considered and voted to approve the requests on February 22, 2005, and recommended that the <br />requests be approved by the City Council ofthe City. <br /> <br />3. The City Council held a public hearing on April 19, 2005 <br />requests. <br /> <br />regarding the <br /> <br />4. All requirements of Chapter 1, Development Procedures, of the City Land <br />Development Code pertaining to Future Land Use Map Amendments and Zoning Map <br />amendments have been met. <br /> <br />5. The City Council hereby finds and determines that the adoption of the following <br />ordinance is in the interest of the public health, morals, welfare and safety. <br /> <br />BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, <br />TEXAS: <br /> <br />SECTION 1. The Future Land Use Plan of the San Marcos Horizons City Master Plan is <br />revised to change the future land use designation for the following real property from "P" Public <br />and Institutional to "C" Commercial: <br /> <br />Street address: 600 Wonder World Drive <br /> <br />Size: 1.677 acres, more or less. <br />
