Hopkins, San Marcos, Texas 78666, for itself, its successors and assigns, hereinafter <br />referred to as Lessor, and the UNITED STATES OF AMERICA, represented by the Federal <br />Aviation Administration, hereinafter referred to as the Government, WITNESSETH, That: <br /> <br />WHEREAS, on the first day of February, 1985, the parties entered into Lease No. <br />DTFA07-85-L-01095, as amended by Supplemental Agreements Nos. 1, 2 and 3, dated, <br />December 19, 1985, February 27, 1990, and March 24, 1992 respectively, for the consideration <br />and purposes more particularly stated in said lease, as amended; and, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, this lease expires by its terms on September 30, 2005, and the Government <br />has an operational requirement to continue its occupancy of the premises and extend the lease <br />term for another 20-year term; and, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the parties hereto mutually agree to extend the term of the lease until <br />September 30,2025. <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE, effective October 1,2005, the parties hereto mutually agree to <br />amend the basic lease in the following particulars only, VIZ: <br /> <br />Delete Article 2 in its entirety. <br /> <br />ADD: <br /> <br />2. This lease may, at the option ofthe Government, be renewed from year to year and otherwise <br />upon the terms and conditions herein specified. The Govemment's options shall be deemed <br />exercised and the lease renewed each year for one (1) year unless the Govemment gives the <br />Lesor thirty (30) days' written notice that it will not exercise its option before this lease or any <br />renewal thereof expires; PROVIDED that no renewal shall extend this lease beyond September <br />30, 2025. <br />
