The Traffic Register, required by Section 82.067 of the City Code of <br />Ordinances, needs to be amended to allow illegally parked cars to be towed from the <br />south side of the 600 block of Broadway Street in order to curtail student parking and <br />alleviate the traffic congestion problems during school hours. <br /> <br />BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, <br />TEXAS: <br /> <br />SECTION 1. Pursuantto Section 82.161 ofthe City of San Marcos Code <br />of Ordinances, the Traffic Register is amended to amend the no parking zone for <br />illegally parked cars on the south side of the 600 block of Broadway Street and <br />change the attendant signage to "No Parking - Tow Away Mon. - Fri. 7:30 a.m. - <br />4:30 p.m.". <br /> <br />SECTION 2. If any word, phrase, clause, sentence, or paragraph of this <br />ordinance is held to be unconstitutional or invalid by a court of competent <br />jurisdiction, the other provisions ofthis ordinance will continue in force if they can be <br />given effect without the invalid portion. <br /> <br />SECTION 3. All ordinances and resolutions or parts of ordinances or <br />resolutions in conflict with this ordinance are repealed. <br /> <br />SECTION 4. This ordinance shall be in effect ten (10) days from and <br />after its passage, and the City Clerk will publish notice of its adoption in a newspaper <br />of general circulation in the City. <br />
