Attachment A Wastewater Conveyance System Modeling Services Change In Services Request Submitted by CH2M HILL March 3, 2011 PROJECT DESCRIPTION To support ongoing decision making associated with current and future conveyance needs, the City requires wastewater modeling to be completed. This Change In Services request is for a continuation of work currently being provided under the Wastewater Conveyance System Modeling Services contract. Anticipated potential work assignments will be similar to those completed under the existing contract and may include: • Evaluation of new flows or lines required as a result of new development; • Evaluation of change in flow in existing system; • Evaluation of changes in pipe sizing to reduce surcharging/ overflows; • Line realignments including future diversions or bypasses; • Incorporation of additional service areas not currently represented in the model; • Using City - provided conveyance system information currently available in CIS database and incorporating this into the existing model database; • Evaluation and modification of 1/1 and dry weather flow information within the model using available flow data; Each modeling assignment will be discussed with the City in order to develop clear objectives and deliverables needed. After meeting with the City, CH2M HILL will provide an estimate of the level of effort and schedule required to complete the assignment. Upon written agreement from City staff (email correspondence is acceptable), CH2MHILL will begin work on the modeling assignment. Upon completion of the assignment, CH2MHILL will prepare and submit to City a technical memorandum documenting data and assumptions used in generating the model runs and model results. CH2MHILL and City staff will meet monthly to review modeling activities in progress and will also review technical memoranda submitted. CH2MHILL will provide meeting minutes within five days of each meeting. In addition CH2MHILL will log modeling assignments and status to facilitate tracking progress on modeling activities. It is anticipated that this Change In Services request will allow for the continuation of modeling services for approximately five more months. The actual length of extended modeling services will depend on the actual modeling activities assigned to CH2MHILL by the City.
