87. RESOLUTION 2005 - 89 R A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, APPROVING THE ALLOCATION OF 2005 COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT BLOCK GRANT (CDBG) FUNDING; AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO ACT AS THE OFFICIAL REPRESENTATIVE OF THE CITY IN MATTERS RELATED TO THE GRANT PROGRAM AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. RECITALS: 1. The City has received notice from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) that entitlement funding has been approved under the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) program for specific authorized programs for fiscal year 2005. 2. The City has solicited extensive citizen participation in determining the use of the CDBG entitlement funds. BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS: PART 1. The following allocation of 2005 CDBG funding in the total amount of $587,708.00 is approved: CDBG Allocation Description Phase II Hopkins Sidewalk Project Streets Minor Reconstruction Program Phase I - Family Justice Center Housing Purchases (rehab to sell as affordable housing) Owner~Occupied housing rehab program Sidewalks Program Administration TOTAL: Amount $ 82,839.00 $ 175,000.00 $ 66,000.00 $ 19,166.00 $ 90,000.00 $ 37,161.00 $ 117.542.00 $ 587,708.00 PART 2.
