<br />87. <br /> <br />RESOLUTION 2005 - 89 R <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, <br />TEXAS, APPROVING THE ALLOCATION OF 2005 COMMUNITY <br />DEVELOPMENT BLOCK GRANT (CDBG) FUNDING; AUTHORIZING THE <br />CITY MANAGER TO ACT AS THE OFFICIAL REPRESENTATIVE OF THE <br />CITY IN MATTERS RELATED TO THE GRANT PROGRAM AND <br />DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. <br /> <br />RECITALS: <br /> <br />1. The City has received notice from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban <br />Development (HUD) that entitlement funding has been approved under the Community <br />Development Block Grant (CDBG) program for specific authorized programs for fiscal year <br />2005. <br /> <br />2. The City has solicited extensive citizen participation in determining the use <br />of the CDBG entitlement funds. <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, <br />TEXAS: <br /> <br />PART 1. The following allocation of 2005 CDBG funding in the total amount of <br />$587,708.00 is approved: <br /> <br />CDBG Allocation Description <br /> <br />Phase II Hopkins Sidewalk Project <br />Streets Minor Reconstruction Program <br />Phase I - Family Justice Center <br />Housing Purchases (rehab to sell as affordable housing) <br />Owner~Occupied housing rehab program <br />Sidewalks <br />Program Administration <br /> <br />TOTAL: <br /> <br />Amount <br /> <br />$ 82,839.00 <br />$ 175,000.00 <br />$ 66,000.00 <br />$ 19,166.00 <br />$ 90,000.00 <br />$ 37,161.00 <br />$ 117.542.00 <br /> <br />$ 587,708.00 <br /> <br />PART 2.
