Hopkins 8t. <br />San Marcos, Texas 78666 <br /> <br />RE: TWDB Flood Protection Planning Grant <br /> <br />Dear Ms. Anderson: <br /> <br />We understand that the City of San Marcos is submitting an application for State <br />assistance under the Texas Water Development Board (TWDB) Flood Protection <br />Planning grant program to develop a comprehensive flood protection plan for the City, <br />including consideration of structural and non-structural measures. <br /> <br />As the objectives of sound floodplain management serve multiple ptirposes, the proposed <br />flood protection study has the potential to further many of the goals of the Upper San <br />Marcos Watershed Reclamation and Flood Control District (the District). Consequently, <br />the District is supportive of your study efforts and the implementation offlood protection <br />projects, both structural and non-structural.
