<br />RI09.1.1 is amended to read as follows: <br /> <br />R 109.1.1 Foundation inspection. F OrIn surveys shall be preformed prior to placing cement <br />and the report shall be on site at the time of foundation inspection. Inspection of the <br />foundation shall be made after poles or piers are set or trenches or basement areas are <br />excavated and any required forms erected and any required reinforcing steel is in place and <br />prior to the placing of concrete. The foundation inspection shall include excavations for <br />thickened slabs intended for the support of bearing walls, partitions, structural supports, or <br />equipment and special requirements for wood foundations. <br /> <br />Rl12 is deleted. <br /> <br />R311.5.6.3 is amended to read as follows: <br /> <br />R311.5.6.3 Handrail grip size. All required handrails shall be of one ofthe following types or <br />provide equivalent grasp ability. Type II handrails shall only be allowed in custom built homes <br />or where requested by the owner. <br /> <br />R905. 7 and R905.8 are deleted and replaced with the following: <br /> <br />R905.7. Wood shingles and shakes are prohibited as new or replacement roofing material <br />except that wood shingles and shakes as the primary roofing surface in existence on January 1, <br />2001, may be replaced with UL listed fire retardant shingles or shakes that are approved by the <br />fire marshal. <br /> <br />R905.10 is amended by adding the following: <br /> <br />R905.1 0.1.1. Reliefvalve discharge piping shall be copper or chlorinated poly <br />vinyl chloride (CPVC). <br /> <br />2904.4.1 is amended to read as follows: <br /> <br />P2904.4.1 Water service installation. Trenching, pipe installation and backfilling shall be in <br />accordance with Section P2604. The water service pipe shall be separated from the building sewer <br />by a minimum of 5 feet (1524 nun), measured horizontally, of undisturbed or compacted earth or <br />placed on a solid ledge at least 12 inches (305mm) above and to one side ofthe highest point in the <br />sewer line. <br /> <br />E3505.1 is amended by deleting the exceptions. <br /> <br />Sec. 14.042. Regulation of single-family and duplex industrialized housing. <br /> <br />(a) Single-family or duplex industrialized housing must comply with all local permit and license <br />requirements that are applicable to other single-family or duplex dwellings. <br /> <br />11 <br />
