<br />(b) This restriction will not extend to an employee's interest in a residence owned and occupied by the <br />employee as a homestead. An employee may not be involved in the plan review, permit issuance or <br />inspections of any construction work on the employee's homestead. <br /> <br />Sec. 14.005. Records. <br /> <br />The building official will cause a record to be kept of the business of the division. These records will <br />be maintained in accordance with city record retention requirements, and will be subject to public <br />inspection under the city's open records policy. <br /> <br />Sec. 14.006. Fees. <br /> <br />All fees in this chapter are established by city council. <br /> <br />Sec. 14.007. Display of company name and license number. <br /> <br />All contractors doing business in the city shall permanently display the company name and license <br />number in letters not less than two inches in height, with a three-quarter inch stroke, on both sides of <br />all vehicles used by the contractor. For purposes of this section, a magnetic sign on a vehicle is not a <br />permanent display. <br /> <br />Sec. 14.008. Permit application - Filing; fees. <br /> <br />(a) All permit applications shall be made upon fonns provided by the building official. <br /> <br />(b) Once a permit application is determined by the building inspection division to be complete, the <br />division will infOffil the applicant of the amount of the permit fee. An application will not be <br />considered to be filed with the building inspection division unless and until this completeness is <br />verified and the full amount ofthe permit fee is paid. A permit fee may be wholly or partially waived <br />in a written development incentive agreement with the city. <br /> <br />(c) The building official may require that a plan review fee be paid by a permit applicant at the tinle an <br />application is submitted. The payment of the plan review fee will not be deemed to constitute the <br />filing of the application, and the application will not be considered to be filed with the building <br />inspection division unless and until the application is verified to be complete and the full amount of <br />the permit fee is paid. <br /> <br />(d) If the scope of work is increased during the construction period relative to the work authorized to <br />be done under the permit, the permit holder shall file an amended permit application and pay <br />additional fees that are assessed based on the increase in scope prior to beginning any work not <br />covered by the original permit. <br /> <br />(e) Permit fees are established by city council. <br /> <br />Sec. 14.009. Certificate of insurance required for contractors. <br /> <br />(a) A licensed builder performing construction work in the city shall provide the inspection division a <br />certificate of insurance that meets the requirements of subsection (b) of this section.
