Mr. Diaz moved to appoint Rosina Valle, <br />Mr. Guerrero moved to appoint Travis Kelsey, Mr. Mihalkanin moved to <br />appoint Ted Hindson, Mayor Narvaiz moved to appoint Randy Rogers, Mr. <br />Thomaides moved to appoint Tom Wassenich, Mr. Bose moved to appoint Ed <br />Davis and Mr. Taylor moved to appoint Dwayne Thomason, which passed <br />unanimously. <br />Mayor Narvaiz introduced for consideration a public hearing and approval of <br />an ordinance on first reading, the caption which was read as follows: <br />AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, <br />AMENDING SECTION 5.5.2.2 OF THE CITY LAND DEVELOPMENT CODE REGARDING <br />TREE PROTECTION STANDARDS; AMENDING SECTIONS 1.6.7.2 AND 1.7.7.2 OF <br />THE CITY LAND DEVELOPMENT CODE REGARDING WATERSHED PROTECTION PLAN <br />REQUIREMENTS; AMENDING SECTION 1.6.6.1 OF THE CITY LAND DEVELOPMENT <br />CODE REGARDING SITE PREPARATION PERMIT REQUIREMENTS; AMENDING SECTION <br />7.1.3.1 AND ADDING SECTION 7.1.3.2 OF THE CITY LAND DEVELOPMENT CODE <br />REGARDING CITY PARTICIPATION IN OVERSIZING OF FACILITIES AND UTILITY <br />CONNECTION POLICIES; AMENDING SECTION 7.4.2.1 OF THE CITY LAND <br />DEVELOPMENT CODE REGARDING SIDEWALK AND DRIVEWAY STANDARDS; AMENDING <br />SECTION 4.4.2.1 OF THE CITY LAND DEVELOPMENT CODE REGARDING EXTERIOR <br />CONSTRUCTION OF FACILITIES AT THE AIRPORT; AMENDING SECTION 7.4.1.4 OF <br />THE CITY LAND DEVELOPMENT CODE REGARDING STREET STANDARDS; INCLUDING <br />PROCEDURAL PROVISIONS; AND PROVIDING FOR PENALTIES. <br />Mr. Thomaides moved for approval of the ordinance on first reading, and Mr. <br />Guerrero seconded the motion. Mr. O'Leary stated on June 14, 2005, the <br />Planning and Zoning Commission held a public hearing and recommended <br />unanimous approval for the following amendment to the Land Development <br />Code. He stated these proposed amendments are consistent with the City's <br />commitment to consider needed adjustments.
