• RESOLUTION 2011 - 4 7 R
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN
MARCOS, TEXAS, APPROVING THE EXTENSION OF AN ANNUAL
CONTRACT WITH SAMCO LEAK DETECTION SERVICES, INC. FOR
THE PROVISION OF LEAK DETECTION SERVICES FOR AN
ESTIMATED ANNUAL COST OF $30,000.00; AUTHORIZING THE
PURCHASING MANAGER TO EXECUTE THE APPROPRIATE
DOCUMENTS RELATED TO THIS CONTRACT EXTENSION ON
BEHALF OF THE CITY AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
RECITALS:
1. On March 24, 2010, the City entered into an annual contract with Samco Leak
Detection Services, Inc. (IFB 210 -030) for the provision of leak detection services (the
"Contract ").
2. Because the total annual contract price was estimated to be $30,000.00 the
contract was awarded administratively.
3. Both parties wish to extend the Contract for an additional year as authorized by
the agreement, however, this extension will cause the total contract amount to exceed the
• authorized threshold of $50,000.00 and the Contract extension, therefore, requires City Council
approval.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS,
TEXAS:
PART 1. The extension of the Contract with Samco Leak Detection Services, Inc. for
the provision of leak detection services for an estimated annual amount of $30,000.00 is
approved.
PART 2. The Purchasing Manager, Cheryl Pantermuehl, is authorized to execute
appropriate documents related to the Contract extension on behalf of the City.
PART 3. This Resolution shall be in full force and effect immediately from and after its
passage.
ADOPTED this the 19th day of April, 2011.
0
