<br />(d) A person who violates this section commits a misdemeanor and is subject to a fine of not less than <br />$250.00 upon conviction. <br /> <br />Sees. 14.012-14.025. Reserved. <br /> <br />ARTICLE 2. BUILDING CODE <br /> <br />Sec. 14.026. Amendments. <br /> <br />The International Building Code adopted by section 14.002 is amended as follows: <br /> <br />101.4.1 is deleted and replaced with the following: <br /> <br />101.4.1 Electrical. The provisions of the National Electrical Code 1999 will apply to the <br />installation of electrical systems, including alterations, repairs, replacement, equipment, <br />appliances, fixtures, fittings and appurtenances thereto. <br /> <br />103 is deleted. <br /> <br />104. 7 is deleted. <br /> <br />105.1 is deleted and replaced with the following: <br /> <br />105.1 Required. Any owner or authorized agent who intends to construct, enlarge, alter, <br />repair, move, demolish, or change the occupancy classification of a building or structure, or <br />to erect, install, enlarge, alter, repair, remove, convert or replace any electrical, gas, mechanical <br />or plumbing system, the installation of which is regulated by this code, or to cause any such <br />work to be done, shall first make application to the building official and obtain the required <br />permit. If the owner is to do the work him or herself, then the owner shall provide an affidavit <br />to the building official stating that he owns and presently occupies the building as his <br />homestead. <br /> <br />105.8 is added to read as follows: <br /> <br />105.8 Homestead. If the owner is to do the work him or herself, then the owner shall provide <br />an affidavit to the building official stating that he owns and presently occupies the existing <br />building as his homestead, and will do the work with his own hands. <br /> <br />106.1.1.2 is added to read as follows: <br /> <br />106.1.1.2 Any documents prepared by or required to be prepared by a licensed or registered <br />design professional shall bear the professional's seal. The seal shall bear the professional's <br />name and the legend "Licensed Professional Engineer," "Registered Professional Engineer" <br />or "Registered Architect". <br /> <br />106.3.4.3 is added to read as follows: <br /> <br />106.3.4.3 The design professional shall be an architect or engineer legally licensed or <br /> <br />C:\TEMP\bldg code 2-13-02 inc.doc <br /> <br />5 <br />
