Invocation <br />Pastor Jeff Latham with Westover Baptist Church provided the invocation. <br />5. Pledge of Allegiance <br />Christian Molina, Fifth Grader at Hernandez Elementary School and member of the <br />Ambassador's Club led the assembly in the Pledge of Allegiance. <br />6. 30 Minute Citizen Comment Period <br />Mike Dallas, 900 Congress Ave, Austin, TX, addressed the Council as a representative of the <br />Owners of Aspen Heights. He stated that the concept plan had been approved 2 years prior to <br />this project coming before Council. He wished to thank all the City Staff that worked with them <br />on this project and to thank the Council for looking at this project favorably. <br />Ronald Gish, 701 Snyder Hill Dr, has been a resident of San Marcos for 7 years and expressed <br />his dislike for how CIP Projects are currently handled. He stated that it is improving, but would <br />like to see it improve further. <br />Nick Doncov, 461 Briarwood, thanked the Mayor and Council for the opportunity to open a <br />dialogue with the developer of Aspen Heights. He believes that the issues that they had have <br />been addressed by the Aspen Group. He gave his approval for the project to move forward. <br />Jerry Halfrich, 340 Briarwood Dr, thanked the Mayor and Council for allowing the neighbors to <br />work with the Aspen Group regarding their concerns. <br />Joe Ptak, 505 Patricia, addressed the Council regarding his "art car" and the Council supporting <br />local artists and local businessmen wanting to do something with their property. He asked the <br />Council to consider revising the "Junk Car" Ordinance to allow for "Art Cars" that would allow <br />local artists some recognition. <br />Dianne Wassenich, 11 Tanglewood, addressed the Council regarding the Rivendale Property and <br />her concern for the large amount of dirt falling into the river. She stated her concern for the <br />Loop 82 project creating more impervious cover and causing further problems. She stated <br />similar issues regarding the Sink Creek interceptor wastewater line project.
