EXHIBIT A SOUTHSIDE COMMUNITY CENTER REHABILITATION PROGRAM STATEME~l OF WORK Southside Community Center continues its tradition of helping low to moderate-income person with its Summer Rehabilitation Program. Southside would like to partner with the City of San Marcos as it has done in the past and implement City Rehabilitation Program with the allocation of $25,173.00 in funding. Specific description of project: The Housing Rehabilitation program will perform moderate repair to benefit persons of low and moderate income. Moderate repair is defined as, but not limited to roofing repairs, interior and/ or exterior painting, and minimal structural repairs per the discretion of the Project Foreman. This does not include leveling, replacing interior or exterior walls or any major structural renovations. There will be a minimum of six (6) houses selected from the Rehabilitation Program Notification list received by the City of San Marcos' Department of Planning and Development Services. These homes will be selected by meeting established family income guidelines as determined by HUD and priority of need to maintain or bring up to city health and safety standards. The Rehabilitation Program will supply labor, materials and permits necessary for completion of these projects using allocated City funding. There will be renovation crews available for five (5) weeks during the summer months. The Foreman will be responsible for providing city building permits as needed and meeting HUD standards of lead-safe practices. The City of San Marcos will help meet additional inspections due to Title X requirements as needed, using funds allocated for the rehab project. The Rehabilitation Program will not be responsible for any repair cost that may exceed the projected cost per home. Project goals and objectives: . The Rehabilitation Program will process intakes and qualify applications as per City Rehab policy and advertise program as needed.
