<br />EXHIBIT A <br /> <br />SOUTHSIDE COMMUNITY CENTER REHABILITATION PROGRAM <br /> <br />STATEME~l OF WORK <br /> <br />Southside Community Center continues its tradition of helping low to <br />moderate-income person with its Summer Rehabilitation Program. <br />Southside would like to partner with the City of San Marcos as it has <br />done in the past and implement City Rehabilitation Program with the <br />allocation of $25,173.00 in funding. <br /> <br />Specific description of project: <br /> <br />The Housing Rehabilitation program will perform moderate repair to <br />benefit persons of low and moderate income. Moderate repair is defined <br />as, but not limited to roofing repairs, interior and/ or exterior painting, <br />and minimal structural repairs per the discretion of the Project Foreman. <br />This does not include leveling, replacing interior or exterior walls or any <br />major structural renovations. <br /> <br />There will be a minimum of six (6) houses selected from the <br />Rehabilitation Program Notification list received by the City of San <br />Marcos' Department of Planning and Development Services. These homes <br />will be selected by meeting established family income guidelines as <br />determined by HUD and priority of need to maintain or bring up to city <br />health and safety standards. <br /> <br />The Rehabilitation Program will supply labor, materials and permits <br />necessary for completion of these projects using allocated City funding. <br />There will be renovation crews available for five (5) weeks during the <br />summer months. The Foreman will be responsible for providing city <br />building permits as needed and meeting HUD standards of lead-safe <br />practices. The City of San Marcos will help meet additional inspections <br />due to Title X requirements as needed, using funds allocated for the <br />rehab project. The Rehabilitation Program will not be responsible for any <br />repair cost that may exceed the projected cost per home. <br /> <br />Project goals and objectives: <br /> <br />. The Rehabilitation Program will process intakes and qualify <br />applications as per City Rehab policy and advertise program as <br />needed. <br />
