On March 26, 2002, the Planning and Zoning Commission of the City of San <br />Marcos held a public hearing regarding a request to change the zoning from "M" <br />Single-Family, Duplex and Neighborhood Business District to "R-1" Single-Family <br />Dwelling District (Low Density) for Lot 28, Block 1 of the South End Addition located at <br />604 Alabama Street. <br /> <br />2. Subsequent to the public hearing on that date, the Planning and Zoning <br />Commission did, on March 26, 2002 consider and vote to approve the request, and has <br />recommended that the request be approved by the City Council of the City. <br /> <br />3. The City Council held a public hearing on the <br />May , 2001, regarding the request. <br /> <br />13th day of <br /> <br />4. All requirements of Chapter 114, Zoning, of the San Marcos City Code <br />pertaining to zoning map amendments have been met. <br /> <br />5. The City Council hereby finds. and determines that the adoption of the <br />following ordinance is in the interest of the public health, morals, welfare and safety. <br /> <br />BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, <br />TEXAS: <br /> <br />SECTION 1. The Official Zoning Map of the City, as described in Section <br />114.029 of the San Marcos City Code, is amended to rezone the following real property <br />which is presently zoned "M" Single-Family, Duplex and Neighborhood Business District <br />to "R-1" Single-Family Dwelling District (Low Density): <br /> <br />Street address: <br /> <br />604 Alabama <br /> <br />Leqal description: Lot 28, Block 1 of the South End Addition. <br />
