<br />57. <br /> <br />RESOLUTION 2002 -111 R <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN <br />MARCOS, TEXAS, APPROVING AN INTERLOCAL AGREEMENT <br />BETWEEN THE CITY AND THE TEXAS LOCAL GOVERNMENT <br />PURCHASING COOPERATIVE IN ORDER TO FACILITATE THE <br />PURCHASING OF COMMODITIES, GOODS AND SERVICES; <br />AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE THIS AGREEMENT <br />ON BEHALF OF THE CITY; AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, <br />TEXAS: <br /> <br />PART 1. The attached interlocal agreement between the City of San Marcos <br />and the Texas Local Government Purchasing Cooperative ("Cooperative") in order to <br />facilitate compliance with state bidding requirements, to identify qualified vendors of <br />commodities, goods and services, to relieve the burdens of the governmental purchasing <br />function, and to realize the various potential economies, including administrative cost <br />savings, for Cooperative Members. <br /> <br />PART 2. This interlocal agreement is entered into pursuant to the Interlocal <br />Cooperation Act, Chapter 791 of the Texas Government Code, as amended. <br /> <br />PART 3. The Interim City Manager, Dan O'Leary is authorized to execute the <br />agreement on behalf of the City. <br /> <br />PART 4.
