• RESOLUTION 2011 - 64 R <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN <br />MARCOS, TEXAS, APPROVING AUTHORIZATION OF CHANGE IN <br />SERVICES NO. 1 TO AN AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE CITY AND <br />LOCKWOOD, ANDREWS & NEWNAM, INC. FOR THE PROVISION OF <br />ADDITIONAL PROFESSIONAL REAL; PROPERTY ACQUISITION <br />SERVICES; INCREASING THE AGREEMENT AMOUNT FROM <br />$49,500.00 to $59,500.00; AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO <br />EXECUTE THE AUTHORIZATION OF CHANGE IN SERVICES AND <br />DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. <br />RECITALS: <br />1. On January 25, 2011 the City entered into an agreement (the "Agreement ") with <br />Lockwood, Andrews & Newnam, Inc. (the "Consultant ") for the provision of professional real <br />property acquisition services for the City in the amount of $49,500.00. <br />2. It is necessary to increase the amount of the Agreement to provide for additional <br />real property acquisition services in place of a full -time Acquisitions Specialist in the City's <br />Capital Improvements Department; however, the funding required by this Authorization of <br />• Change in Services will cause the Agreement to exceed the authorized threshold of $50,000.00. <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, <br />TEXAS: <br />PART 1. The attached Authorization of Change in Services No. 1 for $10,000.00 to <br />the Agreement with the Consultant is approved. <br />PART 2. The increase of the Agreement amount from $49,500.00 to $59,500.00 is <br />approved. <br />PART 3. The City Manager is authorized to execute the attached Authorization of <br />Change in Services on behalf of the City. <br />PART 4. This Resolution shall be in full force and effect immediately from and <br />after its passage. <br />ADOPTED this the 7 th day of June, 2011. <br />• 1 <br />
