<br />101. <br /> <br />PROFESSIONAL SERVICES AGREEMENT FOR <br />THE COORDINATION OF THE <br />CENTRAL TEXAS HOUSEHOLD HAZARDOUS WASTE MOBILE PROGRAM <br /> <br />This AGREEMENT is made this the 2Sth day of ,Tllnp ,2002, between <br />the City of San Marcos, Texas ("City"), 630 East Hopkins, San Marcos, Texas 78666 <br />and Geo-Visions (the "Consultant"), 9709 Timber Ridge Pass, Austin, Texas 78733, for <br />the provision of professional services for the coordination of the Central Texas <br />Household Hazardous Waste Mobile Program for the City of San Marcos. <br /> <br />The City and the Consultant agree as follows: <br /> <br />ARTICLE 1 <br />CONSULTANT'S SERVICES AND RESPONSIBILITIES <br /> <br />1.1 STANDARDS OF PERFORMANCE <br /> <br />1.1.1 Consultant will be responsible for the professional coordination services for the <br />Central Texas Household Hazardous Waste Mobile Program for the City of San Marcos <br />(the "Project"). The purpose of this Project is to provide affordable household <br />hazardous waste collection through a regional household hazardous waste <br />management program which includes an educational campaign in addition up to four <br />one-day collection events. This Project is under the sponsorship of the City and will <br />include affordable household hazardous waste collection for the City of San Marcos, <br />Hays County, The Barton Springs Edwards Aquifer Conservation District, the City of <br />Lockhart, the City of Luling, the City of Giddings, the City of Lakeway, the Travis County <br />Water Control and Improvement Disctrict No. 17 and the Hurst Creek M.U.D. (the <br />"Participating Communities"). This Project is being financed in part with funds from the <br />Texas Natural Resource Conservation Commission ("TNRCC") through a grant from <br />the Capital Area Planning Council CAPCO"). The Consultant certifies that it is fully <br />familiar with federal, state and local regulations regarding household hazardous waste <br />collection and other waste streams. Consultant is experienced and familiar with all <br />reporting requirements of both CAPCO and the TNRCC. Consultant will perform all of <br />its services so that the Project will proceed in accordance with the guidelines <br />promulgated by the TNRCC and CAPCO. <br /> <br />1.1.2 The Consultant's services are described in Sections 1.1 through 1.9. <br /> <br />1.1.3 The performance of all services by the Consultant in connection with this <br />Agreement will be by persons appropriately licensed or registered under State, local <br />and Federal laws governing their respective consulting disciplines. In performing all <br />services under this Agreement, the Consultant will use that degree of care and skill <br />ordinarily exercised for similar projects by professionals who possess special expertise <br />in the types of services involved under this Agreement. No work under this Agreement <br />will be subcontracted by the Consultant without prior written approval from the City.
