<br />1.6.6 Submit 45-day operational plan for each collection site to TNRCC. <br /> <br />(a) obtain emergency numbers, closest hospital, fire department, police, etc. <br /> <br />(b) complete a site drawing of the collection site showing flow of traffic and <br />arrangement of each component. <br /> <br />(c) work with contractor to complete health and safety plan. <br /> <br />1.7 Task 6 - Develop Education/Promotion Proarams <br /> <br />For each collection event, the Consultant will: <br /> <br />1.7.1 Contact newspapers for donated advertising space and to encourage articles on <br />the event and household hazardous waste management in general. <br /> <br />1.7.2 Contact local schools and community centers for education/promotion <br />opportunities. <br /> <br />1.7.3 Attend any community gathering that might be appropriate for distribution of <br />promotional materials. <br /> <br />1.7.4 Contact other programs such as programs offered by the Lower Colorado River <br />Authority to obtain educational materials. <br /> <br />1.7.5 Order household hazardous waste materials for adults and children. <br /> <br />1.7.6 Distribute educational materials at each collection event. <br /> <br />1.7.7 Develop participant packets, which include household hazardous wheels, <br />non-toxic cleaning samples, information on other recycling opportunities in the <br />community, and helpful hints on alternatives to hazardous products. <br /> <br />1.7.8 Print and distribute banners, signs, and posters notifying the public of each <br />upcoming event. <br /> <br />1.7.9 Develop and submit newspaper ads in local papers. <br /> <br />1.7.10 Mail out flyers to customers in utility districts, water districts, communities, etc. <br /> <br />1.8 Task 7 - Conduct Collection Events <br /> <br />For each collection event, the Consultant will: <br /> <br />4 <br />
