<br />124. <br /> <br />RESOLUTION 2002 -.133 R <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, <br />TEXAS COMMITTING TO CITY PARTICIPATION IN A PARTNERSHIP <br />WITH HAYS COUNTY IN A GRANT APPLICATION TO THE FEDERAL <br />NATURAL RESOURCES CONSERVATION SERVICE FOR CLEANING OF <br />THE BLANCO RIVER AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. <br /> <br />RECITALS: <br /> <br />1. Officials of the City and Hays County have identified areas of large debris <br />piles in the Blanco River area which have become fire hazards. <br /> <br />2. Grant funding is available from the Federal Natural Resources Conservation <br />Service ("NRCS") for the removal of these debris piles. <br /> <br />3. Hays County is interested in partnering with the City in the submission of a <br />grant application to the Federal NRCS. <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, <br />TEXAS: <br /> <br />PART 1. The City commits to participation in a partnership with Hays County <br />in the submission of a grant application to the Federal NRCS for grant funding for the <br />removal of debris piles in the Blanco River area. <br /> <br />PART 2. This Resolution shall be in full force and effect immediately from and <br />after its passage. <br /> <br />ADOPTED this the 8th day of July <br /> <br />,2002. <br /> <br />\LJ.j.
