On June 24, 2002, the Planning and Zoning Commission of the City of San <br />Marcos held a public hearing regarding a request to change the zoning from "PD" Pre- <br />Development District, "R-1" Single-Family Dwelling District (Low Density) and Unzoned <br />to "PDD" Planned Development District (base zoning R-1 District) for a 24.09 acre tract <br />of property located off of the 1600 block of Brown Street. <br /> <br />2. Subsequent to the public hearing on that date, the Planning and Zoning <br />Commission did, on June 25, 2002 consider and vote to approve the request, and has <br />recommended that the request be approved by the City Council of the City. <br /> <br />3. The City Council held a public hearing on the 12th day of <br />lI.lJglJ st , 2002, regarding the request. <br /> <br />4. All requirements of Chapter 114, Zoning, of the San Marcos City Code <br />pertaining to zoning map amendments have been met. <br /> <br />5. The City Council hereby finds and determines that the adoption of the <br />following ordinance is in the interest of the public health, morals, welfare and safety. <br /> <br />BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, <br />TEXAS: <br /> <br />SECTION 1. The Official Zoning Map of the City, as described in Section <br />114.029 of the San Marcos City Code, is amended to rezone the following real property <br />which is presently zoned "PD" Pre-Development District, "R-1" Single-Family Dwelling <br />District (Low Density) and Unzoned to "PDD" Planned Development District: <br /> <br />Street address: off of the 1600 Block of Brown Street <br /> <br />Size: 24.09 acres. <br />
