The blade tip of any wind turbine shall, at <br />its lowest point, have ground clearance of no less than 15 feet, as <br />measured at the lowest point of the arc of the blades. <br />(4) Safetv. <br />a. Wind turbine towers shall not be climbable up to 12 feet above <br />ground level. <br />b. All access doors to wind turbine towers and electrical equipment <br />shall be lockable and should remain locked when not being <br />Is serviced. <br />C. Appropriate warning sianaae (e.a., electrical hazards) shall be <br />placed on wind turbine towers, electrical equipment, and small <br />wind enerav systems. <br />d. Compliance with FAA Regulations: Wind energy systems must <br />comply with regulations of the Federal Aviation Administration <br />(FAA), including any necessary approvals for installations close to <br />airports. <br />(h) Additional Requirements for Small Solar Enerav Svstems. <br />(1) Height. <br />a. Roof - mounted systems shall not proiect above the ridge of <br />a gabled or gambrel roof. <br />b. Roof - mounted systems shall not vroiect more than five feet <br />above the deck or parapet of a flat roof. All mounting <br />hardware shall be screened from view according_ to Section <br />6.1.2.4. <br />• <br />
