New and <br />innovative materials may be approved for use by the responsible official if <br />the material is compatible with creating a positive streetscape and <br />enhancing the area's appearance. Chain link, woven wire mesh metal <br />panel, or similar materials are not considered decorative fencing, and are <br />therefore not allowed for this purpose except for property in Industrial and <br />Heavy Commercial districts. Those properties may utilize chain link <br />fencing along a street if additional landscape material is provided between <br />the fence and property line to assure compatibility with properties along <br />that subject street. <br />(2) Height and Llocation of fencing.
