<br />too. <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2002-185 R <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, <br />TEXAS, APPROVING THE RENEWAL OF AN ADVERTISING PROGRAM <br />AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE CITY, TANGER PROPERTIES LIMITED <br />PARTNERSHIP AND SAN MARCOS FACTORY STORES, LTD.; <br />AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO SIGN A LETTER AGREEMENT <br />FOR THE RENEWAL; AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. <br /> <br />RECITALS: <br /> <br />1. Tanger Properties Limited Partnership ("Tanger") is the owner and operator of the Tanger <br />Factory Outlet Center in the City. Prime Retail, L.P. ("Prime") is the owner and operator of Prime <br />Outlets San Marcos in the City. <br /> <br />2. In order to ensure the continued success of the San Marcos outlet mall area, and to <br />enhance revenue to the City from retail business and tourism activity, the City, Prime and Tanger <br />wish to renew their agreement dated February 12,2002 (the "Agreement") for a joint advertising <br />program during the 2002-2003 fiscal year of the City. <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, <br />TEXAS: <br /> <br />PART 1. The renewal of the Agreement for the City's 2002-2003 fiscal year is approved. <br /> <br />PART 2. The City Manager, Dan O'Leary, is authorized to execute the attached letter <br />agreement to renew the Agreement on behalf of the City. <br /> <br />P ART 3.
