105. RESOLUTION 2002- 187 R A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, APPROVING AN AIRPORT PROJECT PARTICIPATION AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE CITY AND THE TEXAS DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION ("TXDOT") FOR GRANT FUNDING FOR RUNWAY IMPROVEMENTS TO THE SAN MARCOS MUNICIPAL AIRPORT; AUTHORIZING TXDOT TO ACT AS THE CITY'S AGENT IN IMPLEMENTING THE AIRPORT IMPROVEMENTS SPECIFIED UNDER THE GRANT; AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE THE AGREEMENT AND RELATED DOCUMENTS ON BEHALF OF THE CITY; AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. RECITALS: 1. On February 11, 2002 the City approved a request for funding from TxDOT for grant funding for repairs and improvements to Runway 12-30 and adjoining taxiways at the San Marcos Municipal Airport (the ;'Project"). 2. The City has received notification that TxDOT has approved grant funding for the Project. 3. The City wishes to enter into an Airport Project Participation Agreement (TxDOT Contract No. 2XXA V089) with TxDOT for grant funding for design/engineering services and construction of repairs and improvements to Runway 12-30 and adjoining taxiways. BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS: PART 1. The attached Airport Participation Agreement (TxDOT Contract No. 2XXA V089) and related documents between the City of San Marcos and the Texas Department of Transportation for grant funding for tr.e Project are approved. PART 2. Project. TxDOT is authorized to act as the City's agent in implementing the PART 3. The City Manager, Dan O'Leary, is authorized to execute the grant agreement and related documents on behalf of the City. PART 4. This Resolution shall be in full force and effect immediately from and after its passage. ADOPTED this the 23r~ay of September 2002.
