<br />125. <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2002- 1.&.8-R <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />SAN MARCOS. TEXAS. NOMINA TING CANDIDATES FOR <br />APPOINTMENT TO COMMITTEES OF THE NATIONAL <br />LEAGUE OF CITIES; AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. <br /> <br />RECITALS: <br /> <br />1. It is in the interest and welfare of the citizens of the City of San Marcos, Texas, to have <br />direct representation before the National League of Cities through the membership by City Council <br />Members on Committees of the National League of Cities. <br /> <br />2. The City Council wishes to nominate persons to serve on committees of the National <br />League of Cities. <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS. <br />TEXAS: <br /> <br />P ART 1. The following City Council Members are nominated for appointment to the <br />following committees of the National League of Cities: <br /> <br />Council Member <br /> <br />Committee <br /> <br />Jacob Montoya <br /> <br />NLC Policy/Steering Committee (Community and <br />Economic Development) <br /> <br />Martha Tatum <br /> <br />NLC Policy Steering Committee (Human Development) <br /> <br />PART 2. A copy of this Resolution shall be forwarded to the Texas Municipal League in <br />order that it be received on or before October 30. 2002. <br /> <br />PART 3.
