<br />SAN MARCOS ELECTRIC UTILITY <br />ELECTRIC RATE SCHEDULES <br /> <br />LARGE GENERAL SERVICE-PRIMARY <br />Rate Schedule - LGS-Pri <br /> <br />Effective: February 1, 2003 <br /> <br />Page 2 <br /> <br />Cycle # Billing Date Due Date and Penalty Date Disconnection Date <br />1 16Ul 3ro of the following month 14m of the following month <br />2 24m 11 H' of the following month 21s of the following month <br />3 1 st 18m of the same month 28Ul of the same month <br />4 8m 25m of the same month 4H' of the following month <br /> <br />Any and all amounts not paid before the penalty date shall be assessed a charge in the amount of 10% of the unpaid <br />amount. <br /> <br />Payments from state agencies must be received within 30 days from receipt of bill, and any unpaid amount will be subject <br />to a 1.0% per month interest charge following the procedures set forth in the Prompt Payment Act. <br /> <br />CONTRACT DEMAND <br /> <br />Service under this rate schedule requires the Customer to execute a standard contract for a minimum term of 12 months <br />for a specified Contract Demand to be used in the determination of the BILLING DEMAND, as described hereinafter. <br /> <br />DETERMINATION OF BILLING DEMAND <br /> <br />he BILLING DEMAND each month for shall be the greater of: <br /> <br />a. the highest metered kW demand established during any 30 minute interval during the month; <br /> <br />b. 65.0% of the highest kW demand established during any 30 minute interval during the immediately <br />preceding 11 months; <br /> <br />c. 350 kW; or <br /> <br />d. 50.0% of the Contract Demand. <br /> <br />POWER FACTOR ADJUSTMENT <br /> <br />The monthly metered kW demand may be adjusted to an equivalent 90.0% power factor for the purpose of establishing <br />the monthly BILLING DEMAND when the power factor at the point of delivery to the Customer is determined to be less <br />than 90.0%. Such adjustment will be deferred for 6 months at a new point of delivery to allow for corrective action by the <br />Customer. <br /> <br />INTERRUPTION OF SERVICE <br /> <br />The City will make reasonable provisions to ensure satisfactory and continuous service, but does not guarantee a <br />continuous supply of electric power and energy from the City System facilities and shall not be liable for damage <br />occasioned by interruptions of service or failure to commence delivery caused by acts of God, or the public enemy, or for <br />any cause reasonably beyond the control of the City, including, but not limited to, the failure or breakdown of facilities, <br />floods, fire, strikes, or actions or orders of any agency having jurisdiction in the premises, or for interruptions which are <br />!cessary for inspection, repair, or changes in the equipment and facilities of the City, the City System or the bulk power <br />pplier(s) to the C System.
