On September 24, 2002, the Planning and Zoning Commission of the City of San <br />Marcos held a public hearing regarding a request to change the zoning from "C" Commercial <br />District to "R-1" Single-Family Dwelling District (Low Density) for Lot 19, Block 3 of the <br />Westover Addition located at 1321 Franklin Drive. <br /> <br />2. Subsequent to the public hearing on that date, the Planning and Zoning Commission <br />did, on September 24, 2002 consider and vote to approve the request, and has recommended that <br />the request be approved by the City Council of the City. <br /> <br />3. The City Council held a public hearing on the 25th day of Novel:lber <br />2002, regarding the request. <br /> <br />4. All requirements of Chapter 114, Zoning, of the San Marcos City Code pertaining to <br />zoning map amendments have been met. <br /> <br />5. The City Council hereby finds and determines that the adoption of the following <br />ordinance is in the interest of the public health, morals, welfare and safety. <br /> <br />BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, <br />TEXAS: <br /> <br />SECTION 1. The Official Zoning Map of the City, as described in Section 114.029 of <br />the San Marcos City Code, is amended to rezone the following real property which is presently <br />zoned "C" Commercial District to "R-1" Single-Family Dwelling District (Low Density): <br /> <br />Street address: 1321 Franklin Drive <br /> <br />Legal description: Lot 19, Block 3 of the Westover Addition. <br /> <br />Deed or plat reference: Volume 59, pages 183-185, Hays County Deed Records. <br /> <br />SECTION 2. The Future Land Use Plan of the San Marcos Horizons City Master Plan is <br />revised to conform to this zoning map amendment. <br />
