<br />116. <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2002- 226 R <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, APPROVING THE PRELIMINARY <br />DESIGN FOR THE AQUARENA SPRINGS DRIVE OVERPASS <br />PROJECT; AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. <br /> <br />RECIT ALS: <br /> <br />1. The Texas Department of Transportation ("TXDOT") has requested the City's approval <br />of a preliminary schematic design for the Aquarena Springs Drive (Loop 82) Railroad Overpass <br />Project (the "Project") in San Marcos, Hays County, Texas. <br /> <br />2. The Project would serve a large population including north San Marcos and Southwest <br />Texas State University. <br /> <br />3. The City Council wishes to approve and express its support for the Project. <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, <br />TEXAS: <br /> <br />PART 1. The preliminary schematic design for the Project as prepared by the Texas <br />Department of Transportation is approved, and the Project is supported by the City. <br /> <br />PART 2. The Mayor, Robert B. Habingreither, is authorized and directed to send a copy <br />of this resolution to Southwest Texas State University with a letter requesting that Southwest Texas <br />State University officials express similar approval of and support for the Project. <br /> <br />PART 3. This Resolution is in full force and effect immediately from and after its passage. <br /> <br />ADOPTED on December 9, 2002. <br /> <br />~ P>.l~ <br /> <br />Robert B.
