<br /> - <br />r :Ill ~ ~I <br />~ < <br />- Ij <br />bJ- -::t ceJ <br />c..> <br />,J ~Ol 0 tit <br />iL~ ;z (1)'8 <br /><:t ~b <br />III -::l 00 <br /> <br />243. <br /> <br />ORDINANCE 2001- 1 <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br />OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, AMENDING THE OFFICIAL <br />ZONING MAP OF THE CITY BY REZONING A 0.46 ACRE <br />TRACT OF PROPERTY LOCATED AT 716 PEQUES <br />STREET FROM "P" PUBLIC AND INSTITUTIONAL <br />DISTRICT TO "MF-2" MULTI-FAMILY RESIDENTIAL <br />DISTRICT (MEDIUM DENSITY); INCLUDING <br />PROCEDURAL PROVISIONS; AND PROVIDING FOR <br />PENAL TIES. <br /> <br />RECITALS: <br /> <br />1. On September 26, 2000, the Planning and Zoning Commission of the City of <br />San Marcos held a public hearing regarding a request to change the zoning from "P" <br />Public and Institutional District to "MF-2" Multi-Family Residential District (Medium <br />Density) for a 0.46 acre tract of property located at 716 Peques Street. <br /> <br />2. Subsequent to the public hearing on that date, the Planning and Zoning <br />Commission did, on September 26,2000 consider and vote to approve the request, and <br />has recommended that the request be approved by the City Council of the City. <br /> <br />3. The City Council held a public hearing on the 22nd day of <br />January , 200 ~ regarding the request. <br /> <br />4. All requirements of Chapter 114, Zoning, of the San Marcos City Code <br />pertaining to zoning map amendments have been met. <br /> <br />5. The City Council hereby finds and determines that the adoption of the <br />following ordinance is in the interest of the public health, morals, welfare and safety. <br /> <br />BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, <br />TEXAS: <br /> <br />SECTION 1. The Official Zoning Map of the City, as described in Section <br />114.029 of the San Marcos City Code, is amended to rezone the following real property <br />which is presently zoned "P" Public and Institutional District to "MF-2" Multi-Family <br />Residential District (Medium Density): <br /> <br />Street address: <br /> <br />716 Peques Street. <br /> <br />Size: 0.46 acres. <br /> <br />LeQal description: See the metes and bounds description attached as Exhibit A. <br />
