On January 23,2001, the Planning and Zoning Commission of the City of San Marcos <br />held a public hearing regarding a request to change the zoning from "C" Commercial District to <br />"P" Public & Institutional District for a 1.775 acre tract of property located at 2420 Hunter Road. <br /> <br />2. Subsequent to the public hearing on that date, the Planning and Zoning Commission <br />did, on January 23,20001 consider and vote to approve the request, and has recommended that <br />the request be approved by the City Council ofthe City. <br /> <br />3. The City Council held a public hearing on the 26th day of February <br />2001, regarding the request. <br /> <br />4. All requirements of Chapter 114, Zoning, of the San Marcos City Code pertaining to <br />zoning map amendments have been met. <br /> <br />5. The City Council hereby finds and determines that the adoption of the following <br />ordinance is in the interest of the public health, morals, welfare and safety. <br /> <br />BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, <br />TEXAS: <br /> <br />SECTION 1. The Official Zoning Map of the City, as described in Section 114.029 of <br />the San Marcos City Code, is amended to rezone the following real property which is presently <br />zoned "C" Commercial District to "P" Public & Institutional District: <br /> <br />Street address: <br /> <br />2420 Hunter Road. <br /> <br />Size: 1.775 acres. <br /> <br />Legal description: Lot 2, Block A, Section 3 in the Hunters Hill Subdivision. <br /> <br />Deed or plat reference: Volume 9, page 334, Hays County Plat Records. <br />
