On November 14, 2000 and November 28, 2000, the Planning and Zoning <br />Commission of the City of San Marcos held public hearings regarding a request to zone as "I" <br />Industrial District a 108.73 acre tract ofunzoned property located at 1601 Francis Harris Road. <br /> <br />2. Subsequent to the public hearings on those dates, the Planning and Zoning <br />Commission did, on November 28, 2000 consider and vote to approve the request, and has <br />recommended that the request be approved by the City Council ofthe City. <br /> <br />3. The City Council held a public hearing on the 26th day of February <br />2001, regarding the request. <br /> <br />4. All requirements of Chapter 114, Zoning, of the San Marcos City Code pertaining to <br />zoning map amendments have been met. <br /> <br />5. The City Council hereby finds and determines that the adoption of the following <br />ordinance is in the interest of the public health, morals, welfare and safety. <br /> <br />BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, <br />TEXAS: <br /> <br />SECTION 1. The Official Zoning Map of the City, as described in Section 114.029 of <br />the San Marcos City Code, is amended to zone the following real property which is presently <br />unzoned as ''1'' Industrial District: <br /> <br />Street address: <br /> <br />1601 Francis Harris Road. <br /> <br />Size: 108.73 acres. <br /> <br />Deed or plat reference: Volume 9, page 27-28, Hays County Plat Records. <br />
