Continue to work in partnership with public and private sectors to retain, <br />expand and attract business and industry. <br /> <br />2. Formulate multi-year Master Plan to upgrade Airport to FAR Part 139 <br />Certificated Airport. <br /> <br />3. Continue support for local community events. <br /> <br />4. Continue Economic Development funding at the current level. <br /> <br />5. Continue working to increase/enhance downtown parking. <br /> <br />B. Neighborhoods & Housing <br /> <br />1. Continue CDBG rehabilitation program and evaluate new ways to provide <br />funding for housing renovation. <br /> <br />2. Fund City Code Compliance Officer. <br /> <br />3. Create infrastructure to encourage the construction of housing at all levels. <br /> <br />4. Strongly encourage the Housing Authority to build owner-occupied <br />housing and to convert existing rental units to owner occupied housing. <br /> <br />5. Seek leveraging partnerships to develop affordable housing. <br /> <br />IV Assure a high quality of life for all residents of San Marcos <br /> <br />A. Social Services <br /> <br />1. Establish social service funding for FY 2001-2002 at a level of <br />$305,000 plus an additional $20,000 set aside for future <br />funding of youth services building. <br /> <br />2. Explore acquiring a City location for social service programs. <br /> <br />3. Explore acquiring a City building for youth service programs. <br />
