Section VI, Part B

Demonstration of Time Savings

Currently, San Marcos Police Investigators drive to Austin, Texas in order to submit
latent fingerprint cards the Texas Dept. of Public Safety (DPS) AFIS lab. This is the
closest available terminal to San Marcos. This process entails an approximate 3 hours
per day in investigators time.
