<br />186. <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2001- 74 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, NAMING THE CITY PARK AREA <br />BETWEEN THE GRANT HARRIS, JR. BUILDING, THE SAN <br />MARCOS AREA CHAMBER OF COMMERCE BUILDING AND <br />THE SAN MARCOS RIVER AS "SAN MARCOS PLAZA"; AND <br />DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. <br /> <br />RECITALS: <br /> <br />1. The Parks and Recreation Board has recommended that the area of City park property <br />located between the Grant Harris, Jr. Building, the San Marcos Area Chamber of Commerce <br />Building and the San Marcos River be named "San Marcos Plaza". <br /> <br />2. The Convention and Visitors Bureau Board has recommended that the area of City <br />park property located between the Grant Harris, JI. Building, the San Marcos Area Chamber of <br />Commerce Building and the San Marcos River be named "San Marcos Plaza". <br /> <br />3. The City Council adopted a policy for the naming of City parks and other facilities in <br />Resolution 1997-88R, on June 9, 1997. <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN <br />MARCOS, TEXAS: <br /> <br />PART 1. The area of City park property located between the Grant Harris, JI. Building, <br />the San Marcos Area Chamber of Commerce Building and the San Marcos River, as depicted on <br />the attached map, is named "San Marcos Plaza". <br /> <br />PART 2.
