The Beautification Project Dedication - Flag Day -(June 14) There is also talk of shooting <br />General Burleson's black powder rifle at this ceremony. <br />d. Sesquicentennial /Summerfest Picnic (July 4) Featuring Terri Hendrix, giant fireworks display <br />and patriotic/family entertainment all day <br />e. The Time Capsule Project (Announce the project in April to community and schools; plan to present the finalist <br />suggestions on display at the San Marcos Library during the month prior to the actual ceremony; and to <br />dedicate and bury it this in November in the downtown area in conjunction with the new sidewalks- <br />tentatively on the north side of the square) <br />f. The Cemetery Walk (October) <br />g. The Founders Day Tree Planting Project (hopefully on Burleson, Lindsey or Merriman's <br />birthday or other significant fall day - which is currently being researched) <br />
