ORDINANCE 2001-31 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, AMENDING THE OFFICIAL ZONING MAP OF THE CITY BY ZONING A 35.43 ACRE TRACT OF UNZONED PROPERTY LOCATED AT 1600 NORTH L.B.J. DRIVE AS "AR" AGRICULTURAL-RANCH DISTRICT; INCLUDING PROCEDURAL PROVISIONS; AND PROVIDING FOR PENAL TIES. RECITALS: 1. On March 27, 2000, the Planning and Zoning Commission of the City of San Marcos held a public hearing regarding a request to zone as "AR" Agricultural-Ranch District a 35.43 acre tract ofUnzoned property located at 1600 N. L.B.J. Drive. 2. Subsequent to the public hearing on that date, the Planning and Zoning Commission did, on March 27, 2001 consider and vote to approve the request, and has recommended that the request be approved by the City Council of the City. 3. The City Council held a public hearing on the May , 2001, regarding the request. 21st day of 4. All requirements of Chapter 114, Zoning, of the San Marcos City Code pertaining to zoning map amendments have been met. 5. The City Council hereby finds and determines that the adoption of the following ordinance is in the interest of the public health, morals, welfare and safety. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS: SECTION 1. The Official Zoning Map of the City, as described in Section 114.029 of the San Marcos City Code, is amended to zone the following real property which is presently Unzoned as "AR" Agricultural-Ranch District: Street address: 1600 North L.B.J. Drive. Size: 35.43 acres. Legal description: See the metes and bounds description attached as Exhibit A. Deed or plat reference: Volume 148, Page 139 of the Hays County Deed Records.
