On February 27, 2001, the Planning and Zoning Commission of the City of <br />San Marcos held a public hearing regarding a request to change the zoning from "ZL" <br />Zero Lot Line District and "R-1" Single-Family Dwelling District (Low Density) to "P" <br />Public and Institutional District for a 9.03 acre tract of property located at 1414 Prospect <br />Street. <br /> <br />2. Subsequent to the public hearing on that date, the Planning and Zoning <br />Commission did, on Februray 27,2001 consider and vote to approve the request, and has <br />recommended that the request be approved by the City Council of the City. <br /> <br />3. The City Council held a public hearing on the 21 R t day of <br />May , 2001, regarding the request. <br /> <br />4. All requirements of Chapter 114, Zoning, of the San Marcos City Code <br />pertaining to zoning map amendments have been met. <br /> <br />5. The City Council hereby finds and determines that the adoption of the <br />following ordinance is in the interest of the public health, morals, welfare and safety. <br /> <br />BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN <br />MARCOS, TEXAS: <br /> <br />SECTION 1. The Official Zoning Map of the City, as described in Section <br />114.029 of the San Marcos City Code, is amended to rezone the following real property <br />which is presently zoned "ZL" Zero Lot Line District and "R-1" Single-Family Dwelling <br />District (Low Density) to "P" Public and Institutional District: <br /> <br />Street address: 1414 Prospect Street. <br /> <br />Size: 9.03 acres. <br />
