30. ORDINANCE NO. 2001 - 46 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS CHANGING THE NAME OF A PORTION OF NORTH BISHOP STREET, FROM ITS INTERSECTION WITH NORTH LYNDON B. JOHNSON DRIVE TO ITS INTERSECTION WITH THE NEW EXTENSION OF BISHOP STREET INTO THE FRANKLIN SQUARE SlJBDIVISION, TO CRADDOCK AVENUE; PROVIDING FOR PUBLICATION AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. RECITALS: 1. On March 27, 2001, the City Planning and Zoning Commission held a public hearing regarding a request to change the name of a portion of North Bishop Street from its intersection with North Lyndon B. Johnson Drive to its intersection with the new extension of Bishop Street into the Franklin Square Subdivision to Craddock Avenue; and the Commission voted to approve the request and has recommended that the request be approved by the City Council. 2. The City Council held a public hearing on request. MAY 14 , 2001 regarding the 3. All requirements of Chapter 74 of the City Code pertaining to street name changes have been meet. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS: SECTION 1. The street name for a portion of North Bishop Street, from its intersection with North Lyndon B. Johnson Drive to its intersection with the new extension of Bishop Street into the Franklin Square Subdivision, is changed to Craddock Avenue SECTION 2. This Ordinance will take effect ten days from and after its passage, and notice of its adoption will be published in a newspaper of general circulation in the City as required by the City Charter.
