<br /> <br /> <br />30. <br /> <br />ORDINANCE NO. 2001 - 46 <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, <br />TEXAS CHANGING THE NAME OF A PORTION OF NORTH BISHOP <br />STREET, FROM ITS INTERSECTION WITH NORTH LYNDON B. JOHNSON <br />DRIVE TO ITS INTERSECTION WITH THE NEW EXTENSION OF BISHOP <br />STREET INTO THE FRANKLIN SQUARE SlJBDIVISION, TO CRADDOCK <br />AVENUE; PROVIDING FOR PUBLICATION AND DECLARING AN <br />EFFECTIVE DATE. <br /> <br />RECITALS: <br /> <br />1. On March 27, 2001, the City Planning and Zoning Commission held a public hearing <br />regarding a request to change the name of a portion of North Bishop Street from its intersection with <br />North Lyndon B. Johnson Drive to its intersection with the new extension of Bishop Street into the <br />Franklin Square Subdivision to Craddock Avenue; and the Commission voted to approve the request <br />and has recommended that the request be approved by the City Council. <br /> <br />2. The City Council held a public hearing on <br />request. <br /> <br />MAY 14 <br /> <br />, 2001 regarding the <br /> <br />3. All requirements of Chapter 74 of the City Code pertaining to street name changes have <br />been meet. <br /> <br />BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, <br />TEXAS: <br /> <br />SECTION 1. The street name for a portion of North Bishop Street, from its intersection <br />with North Lyndon B. Johnson Drive to its intersection with the new extension of Bishop Street into <br />the Franklin Square Subdivision, is changed to Craddock Avenue <br /> <br />SECTION 2. This Ordinance will take effect ten days from and after its passage, and notice <br />of its adoption will be published in a newspaper of general circulation in the City as required by the <br />City Charter. <br /> <br />PASSED AND APPROVED on first reading May 14, 2001 <br /> <br />PASSED AND APPROVED on second reading May 21, 2001 <br /> <br />PASSED AND APPROVED AND ADOPTED June 11, 2001. <br /> <br /> <br />Mayor <br />
