<br />56. <br /> <br />RESOLUTION 2001- 108 R <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, <br />TEXAS RATIFYING THE EMERGENCY PROCUREMENT OF TWO <br />WASTEWATER LIFT STATION PUMPS FROM ABS PUMPS AND <br />PROCESS ENGINEERED EQUIPMENT COMPANY; AUTHORIZING THE <br />PURCHASING MANAGER TO EXECUTE APPROPRIATE PURCHASING <br />DOCUMENTS ON BEHALF OF THE CITY; AND DECLARING AN <br />EFFECTIVE DATE. <br /> <br />RECITALS: <br /> <br />1. Two wastewater lift station pumps from at the Wastewater Treatment Plant <br />failed on May 18, 2001, and it was necessary to replace them to continue operation without <br />formal competitive bidding in order to preserve and protect the public safety of the City's <br />residents. <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, <br />TEXAS: <br /> <br />PART 1. The emergency procurement of a wastewater lift station pump <br />from ABS Pumps in the total amount of $30,724.00 in is ratified. <br /> <br />PART 2. The emergency procurement of a wastewater lift station pump from <br />Process Engineered Equipment Company in the total amount of $34,000.00 is ratified. <br /> <br />PART 3. The Purchasing Manager, Cheryl Pantermuehl, is authorized to <br />execute appropriate purchasing documents on behalf of the City. <br /> <br />PART 4.
