<br />131. <br /> <br />NOTICE OF INTENTION TO ISSUE CERTIFICATES OF OBLIGATION <br /> <br />NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the City Council of the City of San Marcos, Texas, at its <br />meeting to commence at 7 :00 P.M. on August 27,200 I, at its regular meeting place in the City Hall, <br />630 East Hopkins, San Marcos, Texas, tentatively proposes to authorize the issuance of interest <br />bearing certificates of obligation of said City in total maximum principal amount not exceeding <br />$8,025,000, for the public purpose of paying contractual obligations to be incurred for constructing, <br />reconstructing and improving streets, including related sidewalks, signage, lighting, signalization, <br />drainage and utility relocations and acquisition of real property and interests in real property for such <br />purposes; acquisition of green space land for the San Marcos Regional Park Preserve Project; and <br />preparation of a transportation master plan. The City presently proposes to provide for the payment <br />of such certificates of obligation by the levy of ad valorem taxes and a limited pledge of revenues <br />of the City's waterworks and sewer system. <br />
