<br /> <br />190. <br /> <br />ORDINANCE 2001 - 62 <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />SAN MARCOS, TEXAS AMENDING THE TRAFFIC REGISTER <br />BY THE ADDITION OF TRAFFIC SIGNAL LIGHTS LOCATED <br />AT THE INTERSECTION OF IH 35 AND CENTERPOINT ROAD; <br />INCLUDING PROCEDURAL PROVISIONS; AND PROVIDING <br />FOR PENALTIES. <br /> <br />RECITALS: <br /> <br />1. The Traffic Register needs to be amended to include new traffic signal lights at the <br />intersection ofIH 35 (northbound and southbound access roads) and Centerpoint Road. <br /> <br />BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, <br />TEXAS: <br /> <br />SECTION 1. Pursuant to Section 82.066 of the City of San Marcos Code of Ordinances, <br />the Traffic Register is amended to include traffic signal lights at the intersection of IH 35 <br />(northbound and southbound access roads) and Centerpoint Road. <br /> <br />SECTION 2. If any word, phrase, clause, sentence, or paragraph of this ordinance is held <br />to be unconstitutional or invalid by a court of competent jurisdiction, the other provisions of this <br />ordinance will continue in force if they can be given effect without the invalid portion. <br /> <br />SECTION 3. All ordinances and resolutions or parts of ordinances or resolutions in conflict <br />with this ordinance are repealed. <br /> <br />SECTION 4. Any person violating any provision of this ordinance commits a misdemeanor <br />and is subject to the penalty provided in Section 1.015 of the San Marcos City Code. <br /> <br />SECTION 5. This ordinance shall be in effect ten (10) days from and after its passage, and <br />the City Secretary will publish notice of its adoption in a newspaper of general circulation in the <br />City. <br /> <br />PASSED AND APPROVED on first reading on July 23, 2001. <br /> <br />PASSED AND APPROVED on second reading on August 13, 2001. <br /> <br />PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED on August 27, 2001. <br /> <br /> <br />David Chiu <br />Mayor <br />
