<br />191. <br /> <br />RESOLUTION 200l--1-4-1R <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE <br />CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, APPROVING THE <br />APPOINTMENT OF CYNTHIA NANKERVIS AND <br />REBECCA MEDER AS ASSISTANT CITY CLERKS <br />FOR PURPOSES OF VITAL STATISTICS RECORDS <br />ADMINISTRATION; AND DECLARING AN <br />EFFECTIVE DATE. <br /> <br />RECITALS: <br /> <br />1. Section 191.022 of the Texas Health and Safety Code designates the City <br />Clerk as the local registrar of births and deaths of persons occurring within the City. <br /> <br />2. A need exists for the appointment by the City Clerk of Assistant City Clerks to <br />serve as deputy local registrars for purposes of vital statistics records administration. <br /> <br />3. The approval of the City Council is necessary for the appointment of <br />Assistant City Clerks under City Charter Section 4.02. <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, <br />TEXAS; <br /> <br />PART 1. That the appointment by the City Clerk of Cynthia Nankervis and <br />Rebecca Meder as Assistant City Clerks to serve as deputy local registrars for purposes of <br />vital statistics records administration is approved. <br /> <br />PART 2. That this Resolution shall be in full force and effect from and after its <br />passage. <br /> <br />ADOPTED this 27tltJdayof August <br /> <br />,2001. <br /> <br />
