237. ORDINANCE NO. 2001- 67 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, AMENDING CHAPTER 2 OF THE CITY CODE TO CONVERT THE CEMETERY COMMISSION, THE DRAINAGE ADVISORY BOARD AND THE SENIOR CITIZEN ADVISORY BOARD TO STAFF ADVISORY BOARDS; MAKING OTHER CONFORMING AMENDMENTS TO THE CITY CODE; AND INCLUDING PROCEDURAL PROVISIONS. RECIT ALS: 1. The Citizen Review Commission, in its June 13, 2001 report to the City Council, has recommen(1ed that the City Council convert the Cemetery Commission, the Drainage Advisory Board and the Senior Citizen Advisory Board to staff advisory boards. 2. The City Council wishes to implement this recommendation of the Citizen Review Commission. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS: SECTION 1. Division 4, Senior Citizen Advisory Board, of Chapter 2, Article 3 of the City Code is amended as follows (underlining indicates added text; ove15trikc indicates deleted text): DIVISION 4. SENIOR CITIZEN ADVISORY BOARD Sec. 2.131. Established; appointment; terms. (a) There is established the senior citizen advisory board. The board is composed of seven residents of the city interested in the welfare of senior citizens. Powers and duties. (a) The senior citizen advisory board may adopt rules and regulations to govern its actions, subject to the general laws of the state and of city ordinances and resolutions.
