<br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />237. <br /> <br />ORDINANCE NO. 2001- 67 <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, AMENDING CHAPTER 2 OF THE CITY <br />CODE TO CONVERT THE CEMETERY COMMISSION, THE <br />DRAINAGE ADVISORY BOARD AND THE SENIOR CITIZEN <br />ADVISORY BOARD TO STAFF ADVISORY BOARDS; MAKING <br />OTHER CONFORMING AMENDMENTS TO THE CITY CODE; <br />AND INCLUDING PROCEDURAL PROVISIONS. <br /> <br />RECIT ALS: <br /> <br />1. The Citizen Review Commission, in its June 13, 2001 report to the City Council, has <br />recommen(1ed that the City Council convert the Cemetery Commission, the Drainage Advisory <br />Board and the Senior Citizen Advisory Board to staff advisory boards. <br /> <br />2. The City Council wishes to implement this recommendation of the Citizen Review Commission. <br /> <br />BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS: <br /> <br />SECTION 1. Division 4, Senior Citizen Advisory Board, of Chapter 2, Article 3 of the City Code <br />is amended as follows (underlining indicates added text; ove15trikc indicates deleted text): <br /> <br />DIVISION 4. SENIOR CITIZEN ADVISORY BOARD <br /> <br />Sec. 2.131. Established; appointment; terms. <br /> <br />(a) There is established the senior citizen advisory board. The board is composed of seven <br />residents of the city interested in the welfare of senior citizens. <br /> <br />(b) The dil~ctOl of parb and rccrcation and the executive director of the eCommunity a:Action~ <br />Inc. of Hays. Caldwell and Blanco Counties. or the executive director's designee. program is an <br />are ex officio nonvoting members of the board. <br /> <br />(c) Members of the board are appointed by the director of parks and recreation city council for <br />terms of two years and until their successors are appointed and qualified. <br /> <br />Sec. 2.132.
