<br />6. <br />7. <br />Goal No.4: <br /> <br />Study and consider Freeport Exemption. <br />Study and consider Enterprise Zone application. <br />Coordinate real estate, infrastructure, and workforce development to support <br />primary employers <br />Strategy: To assist prospective employers with up-to-date, accurate location <br />information. <br /> <br />Actions: <br />1. Maintain a database on available buildings and real estate. <br />2. Continue to work with the City, County and TxDOT on road improvements. <br />3. Consider recommendations for water and wastewater expansions for prImary <br />employers and work with the city on the Capital Improvements Program. <br />4. Promote the San Marcos Airport and the Foreign Trade Zone. <br />S. Maintain a relationship with local workforce agencies such as: the San Marcos <br />Consolidated Independent School District, Southwest Texas State University, Austin <br />Community College and Gary Jobs Corps. <br />6. Coordinate efforts for a Tri-County Workforce Survey. <br />7. Coordinate the Targeted Industries with the San Marcos Horizons Plan. <br />8. Work with prospects to perform an Impact Analysis. <br />In this Agreement, "primary employers" are those companies whose goods, services and shipments <br />are ultimately used in statewide, national or international markets. <br />B. The EDC and the Chamber shall authorize and make expenditures of EDC funds in <br />conformity with the budget approved by the City Council and attached to this Agreement as Exhibit <br />A. This budget contains an itemization of costs to be separately incurred by the EDC and the <br />Chamber during the year, including without limitation costs for office space, employees, equipment, <br />supplies, travel expenses and vehicles. <br />C. The EDC and the Chamber shall each designate two (2) officers authorized to co-sign <br />checks written on all EDC accounts. The signature of at least one official of each organization shall <br />be required on all checks over $250 in amount written on EDC accounts.
