<br />San Marcos City Council 1 San Marcos City Council <br />Hays County Commissioners Court 1 Hays County Resident <br />Hays County Commissioners Court 1 Hays County Commissioner <br />San Marcos Manufacturers Association 1 Association Members <br />San Marcos Area Chamber 1 Chamber Member <br /> <br />The following persons, or their designees, are ex-officio, non-voting members of the EDC Board of <br />Directors: <br /> <br />1. San Marcos Mayor <br />2. San Marcos City Manager <br />3. Hays County Judge <br />4. Southwest Texas State University President <br />S. San Marcos Consolidated Independent School District Superintendent <br />6. San Marcos Hispanic Chamber of Commerce Executive Director <br />7. San Marcos Area Chamber of Commerce President <br /> <br />3. OBLIGATIONS OF THE CHAMBER <br />A. Chamber shall provide necessary skilled and knowledgeable personnel, equipment, <br />supplies, and vehicles for the administration and operation of the economic development services <br />required herein, in accordance with the budget approved by the City. <br />B. Chamber shall provide office facilities and utilities to the EDC at the San Marcos Area <br />Chamber of Commerce building sufficient to allow EDC to carry out the economic development <br />services described herein, in accordance with the budget approved by the City. <br />C. Chamber shall obtain the advice and counsel of the EDC as to the hiring and firing of <br />management-level Chamber employees responsible for EDC activities. <br />D. Chamber shall not discriminate against any person, firm or organization in connection <br />with this Agreement on the basis of inability to pay, age, sex, disability, race, nationality, or religion. <br />4. OBLIGATIONS OF THE CITY <br /> <br />A. The City shall pay to the EDC and the Chamber, jointly, the sum of $160,000 in <br />installments of $40,000 each on October 31, 2001, January 31,2002, April 30, 2002 and July 31, <br />2002. <br /> <br />c:\ TEMP\area chamber edc-J.doc <br /> <br />Page 5 <br />
