<br />5. Operation and Maintenance of Water an, iVastevvater Facilities <br />Water and wastewater services are currently availa"ie to the annexed area. As <br />additional land is developed within the annexed area, r:e subdivider will be required to <br />construct water and sewer lines in accordance with th~ ~lty'S development ordinances <br />and utility extension policies in place at the time of development. Upon the completion <br />of construction and dedication of the any new water or wastewater facilities to the city, <br />the city shall provide on-going operation and maintenance of those facilities. <br /> <br />6. Operation and Maintenance of Roads and Streets <br />Portion of McCarty Lane and Centerpoint Road are included in the annexation area. <br />Maintenance of the annexed portions of these roads will begin upon the effective date of <br />the annexation. As additional land is developed within the annexed area, the subdivider <br />will be required to construct streets in accordance with the city's existing subdivision <br />policies. Upon completion of the construction and dedication of any new roads and <br />streets to the city, the city shall provide on-going operation and maintenance for those <br />facilities. <br /> <br />7. Electric Service <br />The annexed area is located in the certified service areas two electric service providers - <br />the City-owned San Marcos Electric Utility (SMEU) and the Bluebonnet Electric <br />Cooperative. SMEU provides service to areas located north of McCarty Lane and <br />Bluebonnet provides service to areas located south of McCarty Lane. Service will <br />continue to be provided by each of those providers within the service areas that have been <br />established by the State of Texas. As land is developed within the annexed area, service <br />will be provided by each provider to their respective areas in a manner consistent with the <br />existing policies of that provider for the extension of electrical service to new <br />developments. <br /> <br />8. Operation and Maintenance of Parks, Play(:Jrounds, and/or <br />Svvimmin(:J Pools <br />No parks, playgrounds and/or swimming pools exist within the proposed annexation area. <br />The same standards and policies now established and in force within the city limits will <br />be followed in maintaining and expanding recreational facilities to serve the annexed <br />area. Upon annexation, the owners and residents of property located within the annexed <br />area shall be entitled to the use of all municipal parks and recreational facilities, subject <br />to the same restrictions, fees and availability that pertains to the use of those facilities by <br />other citizens of the city. <br /> <br />9. Operation and Maintenance of Other Public Facilities, Buildintls and <br />Services <br />No other public facilities, buildings or services exist within the annexed area. The same <br />standards and policies now established and in force within the city limits will be followed <br />in maintaining and expanding other public facilities, building and services.
