<br />103. <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2001- 183R <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, NOMINATING CANDIDATES AND <br />SEEKING THE ENDORSEMENT BY THE TEXAS <br />MUNICIPAL LEAGUE FOR COMMITTEES OF THE <br />NATIONAL LEAGUE OF CITIES; AND DECLARING AN <br />EFFECTIVE DATE. <br /> <br />RECITALS: <br /> <br />It is in the interest and welfare of the citizens of the City of San Marcos, Texas, to have <br />direct representation before the National League of Cities through the membership by City <br />Council Member(s) on the various committees of the National League of Cities. <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, <br />TEXAS: <br /> <br />PART 1. The following City Council Members are nominated as candidates for <br />appointment to the following respective committees of the National League of Cities: <br /> <br />Candidate <br /> <br />Committee <br /> <br />1. <br /> <br />J-acob Montoya <br /> <br />Community and Economic Development <br /> <br />2. <br /> <br />Paul Mayhew <br /> <br />Energy, Environment, and Natural Resources <br /> <br />3. <br /> <br />PART 2. The endorsement of the Texas Municipal League is sought for the candidates <br />nominated above for appointment to National League of Cities Policy Committees. <br /> <br />PART 3. A copy of this Resolution shall be forwarded to the Texas Municipal League. <br /> <br />PART 4.
