MOTION: Upon a motion made by Council Member Thomason and a second by Council Member Prather the City Council voted (7) for and (0) opposed, to approve Ordinance 2011 -49, as previously captioned. The motion carried unanimously. 21. Receive a Staff presentation and hold discussion regarding the 2012 Boards and Commission nominations, appointments and reception; and provide direction to Staff. Jamie Lee Pettijohn, City Clerk, provided City Council with a brief presentation regarding the upcoming Board and Commission nominations and appointments. Following the presentation, Council directed staff to bring back Board and Commission nominations on October 18, 2011 and for appointments to be made on November 15, 2011. 22. Discuss and consider changing the Regular City Council Meetings scheduled for October 4, 2011 and December 20, 2011 to alternate dates. Jamie Lee Pettijohn, City Clerk, provided City Council with a brief presentation on the need to change two upcoming regular meeting dates due to conflicts. The first of which being the October 4, 2011, meeting due to conflicts with National Night Out, and the second being the second meeting in December due to the Christmas holidays. Council provided direction to staff to keep the October 4, 2011, meeting as is, but to keep the agenda light. Council directed staff to move the December meeting to December 14, 2011. 23. Receive Staff update regarding Capital Improvement Protects, hold discussion and provide direction to staff. MOTION: Upon a motion made by Council Member Thomason and a second by Council Member Terry the City Council voted (7) for and (0) opposed, to postpone Items 23, 24, and 25 to the September 20, 2011 meeting. The motion carried unanimously. 24. Receive presentation and hold discussion regarding National League of Cities Youth Education and Families Institute programs. MOTION: Upon a motion made by Council Member Thomason and a second by Council Member Terry the City Council voted (7) for and (0) opposed, to postpone Items 23, 24, and 25 to the September 20, 2011 meeting. The motion carried unanimously. 25. Receive a Staff presentation and participate in a workshop on the Edwards Aquifer Recovery Implementation Program Habitat Conservation Plan and implementing agreements.
