Ornamentation <br /> <br />~ Ornamentation should contribute to the overall character of the building, and <br />should draw from historical, natural, or regional references. <br /> <br />~ Utilitarian elements such as shading devices or gutters can become unique <br />decorative elements, giving a building additional character and personality. <br /> <br />~ A building's architecture should suggest a certain type of ornamentation that <br />is appropriate to the "spirit" of the design.
